YWAM Trang - Who We Are

We are young and older alike, totally captivated with knowing God more and making him known. We are men and women with nothing exceptional in ourselves, but simply committed to obedience: hearing and following God's voice joyously. It’s the image of whom we’ve set our eyes upon that reflects who we are and what we aim to accomplish in the city of Trang, the country of Thailand, and to the ends of the earth.

Our ministry is situated in the heart of Thailand’s southern region in a city called Trang. With a history of gospel presence unlike its neighboring provinces, we believe Trang is sitting poised and ready to become one of Thailand’s greatest sending locations. It is our aim as a base to host and send teams throughout southern Thailand and our focus nations. We are praying and believing for Thailand to be transformed by the power of God from an unreached country into a major missionary sending location for all of Southeast Asia and beyond! Vision: "We commit to bring about the obedience of faith among the unreached nations by mobilizing, discipling, and going."

Mission Methods:

Mobilization: Inspiring, challenging, and equipping Christ Followers to focus on God’s Global Purpose by aligning priorities, efforts, and resources so that the unreached people groups give their worship to Jesus Christ.
Discipleship: Relationally and holistically partnering with the Holy Spirit in the sanctification process while making disciples who make disciples in all our day-to-day life.
Going: Regularly going on outreaches throughout Southern Thailand and our adopted nations sharing the Gospel in both word and deed.

Values

Simplicity: Unhindered ministry toward Southern Thailand first and then our adopted nations that pursue quality and effectiveness above quantity.
Prioritization: Directing all of our efforts towards finishing the task of making disciples of every people group, so that “those who have never heard will understand.” Choosing to prioritize ta ethne that are unreached and foregoing ministry among gospel-saturated/reached/those that have access to peoples. We will do what is not getting done in our ambition to partner with Jesus in ransoming people from every tribe, tongue, people, and language.
Sacrifice: Doing anything and everything needed for obedience to God and the spread of His global worship.
Intimacy: Seeking the Lord's presence, moment by moment, and submitting ourselves and our ministry to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Intimacy applies to our relationships with the Lord as well as our YWAM community and each serves to supplement and support the other.

Ministries - What We Do

Since the birth of YWAM Trang in 2022 our pioneering team has been focusing on learning the Thai language and culture and building relationships in our community. In July of 2024 our team will begin transitioning into more full-time ministry in our community and start regularly hosting DTS Outreach Teams. In the fall of 2025, it is our aim to run our first Discipleship Training School. In addition to hosting outreach teams, and running DTS, we believe God will lead us in pioneering evangelistic and compassion ministries in our city such as English Corner ministry, Community Nights, Christian Cell Group ministry in local schools, and juvenile detention center outreach.

Prayer Requests:

All 74 Unreached People Groups in Thailand would have gospel witness
God would send more laborers to Thailand
Thai believers would be championed and mobilized into their missional callings and that the Thai church would become a great missionary sending force into all of Asia and the 10/40
